This is the fastest? Intel processor questions?

Quandary basically by Ω∞™Atet™∞Ω: which is faster? Intel Processor question?

when you go to intel website it says for example “intel core i7″ is faster than “intel core i5″. but what about their GHz? is “i7 1.7 GHz” still faster than “i5 2.66 GHz” just b/c i7 is faster than i5? or in this case i5 is faster b/c is has more GHz speed???

It all depends what you are doing with your computer. Technically yes i7 is faster than i5 but GHz is part of the equation that can change that. If your doing video, photo editing the i7 will be the way to go but if you can’t afford to dish out the extra cash the high-end i5 will do the trick.

No it is low ghz but intel i7 is faster processor because It is use latest technology and used for multitasking so defiantly go with i7
