What is the point of having such an expensive processor in it because i have seen computers with lower grade processors but a higher ghz

Well with hyperthreading1.6 can still handle a large load. It’s cache may also be higher.

A i3 3.03 GHz is not as good as a i7 with 1.6 ghz..

The intel core i7 has many more processing cores than the i3 therefore if you have a 2.80ghz 13 and an i7 at 1.60ghz the i7 would come out on top with more cores which act as like a larger engine.
